The plan is to bring well-known artworks from the Finnish National Gallery into Fortnite. Instead of learning about art in a classroom, players discover it while playing. The artworks become part of the game’s story, missions, and challenges, so players see them in action rather than just as pictures. This keeps the game fun and competitive while adding cultural learning. For young players, it means they enjoy Fortnite as usual but also pick up knowledge about important art and artists in a natural, engaging way. Over time, this helps them connect with art and see it as relevant to their own lives.

Developed in UEFN using Verse, covering all gameplay systems, mission logic, event flow, and scoring. The work included state management and team-based mechanics with protection and scoring logic for cooperative and competitive play. All systems were scripted in Verse, coordinating triggers, devices, and player data to drive the game loop. UI, interaction, and progression systems were built to ensure smooth transitions and clear feedback.
Alongside development, I contributed to environment design, focusing on layout and gameplay integration. The project advanced from a prototype phase validating gameplay and technical feasibility to full production, refining logic, optimizing performance, and delivering a complete, stable experience.
